The instruction booklet doesn't tell you much at all. If you have experience with bench grinders, I guess you just flip through the two pages of safety precautions to the parts diagram, or maybe not even that. They do tell you that one of two tapered spindles is for the left side, and one for the right side, but they don't tell you what the spindles might be used for, nor how they are distinguishable one from the other. The motor works fine, no problem with that. They give you a felt wheel, but you have to dope out how to attach it on your own time. I obviously have no prior experience with grinders.

I love this grinder, and use it regularly for polishing jade, but I realized after I used it that it uses graphite brushes which will need to be replaced regularly, every 100hours or so. I wish it had clearly stated that in the listing heading, as I had seen an identical grinder which was slightly more expensive, and now realize it was because the other model was brushless which would be maintenance free. Otherwise I'm very happy with this little grinder, it bogs down a little when I press hard on the final polish, and I can't seem to find replacement buffing wheels from this company, but makes the jade super shiny ๐

This product was portable from one site to another, and for its small size it is sufficiently powerful. I did replace the buffing wheel with a larger one and it handled the extra weight fine.
