“1/2’’ pipe diameter will reduce water flow, but the 11kW power is sufficient to provide hot water in winter. I worked with the plumber to design a hot water system that can be used in sync with the gas boiler, and overall, I’m satisfied.”

I took out a 50-gallon tank that serviced two bathrooms, neither of which was used much. Water incoming in winter is about 50 degrees, and the unit took it right up to "too hot." I'm not sure it would provide good service if two showers were going at once, but we're just two, and it's working well for us.

I bought this on 1/28/25 and received 1/29/25, was installed and quit working on 2/12/25. The electric connections were checked and they were fine, just no heat to the water when turned on. Am returning for a refund.

We replaced the old, rusty, crusty tank! We love how easily we could self-install in our garage. We took precautions to insulate the pipes just in case of a Dallas freeze. The price was great. We always thought having one would be an arm and a leg. Sometimes, the water does not come up to the temperature. We have it set at 124°, and it pushes 104° from the garage to the clothes washer. But traveling water to the upstairs bathroom is satisfactory. What in the world did we do without this all this time?

The heater works perfectly. I really like the incoming water temp. I have a circulating system that gets hot water to the far reaches of the house. As the warm water gets back to the heater you can watch the incoming water temperature get higher before the pump shuts off. I’ve had the heater for about two weeks. So I can’t comment on durability. Very easy to install.

19 Jan 2025:Received fast, easy to install, replacement for different brand that failed at 18 months of use. This one is twice the physical size of prior one I had bought, no complaint with that. The fittings are metal and capped blue in cold red out got water. It came with clear instructions and 2 lines to connect to water system operating instructions and a card you can scan to link to online installation/ information (not tried) if your not sure read the instructions before starting and start buy reading everything first. I got everything connected then ran water through it for few minutes before turning power to it back on to flush the heating unit out and to remove any air pockets. The unit appears to be fair quality, I first set temperature at 121°F then adjusted to 113° for routine use. Then moved temperature to 105°F for a shower otherwise it would cycle more than necessary when I turned on cold water to moderate temperature. I definitely like the digital control panel, energy efficiency I'm not sure of yet. I definitely enjoyed being able to take a 20-30 minute shower and not running out of hot water or it shutting off. Washing a load of clothes doesn't phased it any. Now my water system is not a large one, 2 sinks, shower, washing machine and toilet in a small cabin. The pictures are taken from in standby to operating temperature that took maybe 3 minutes, the water temperature is probably correct inlet and outlet. It shows the water usage rate fairly accurate I think. After the other brand failed I was going to get a 10 gallon tank water heater but all of the models I found that size are 110v not 220v since I already had it wired 220 and limited space I ordered this one. I at first thought I should have got a larger unit but this as of a few days of use handles my current needs. Time will tell how long it holds up. After more time and use I will try to update my review.

This 14 kw unit is about the largest I could put on to the existing 60 amp double throw breaker circuit. It seems well built and produces the hot water that we need but has kicked offline with an "E1" error more than once which, according to the manual indicates insufficient flow for the set temperature. Flipping the breaker off and on resolves the immediate lack of hot water. If it happens again, I'll try setting the temperature slightly lower, at 120F instead of 122F. It could be that our house uses an on-demand pump to drive water around the house, including to this on-demand heater.

I had the unit installed by professionals, a plumber and an electrician. Installation was pricey. When all was done it wouldn’t turn on. With electrician standing by I called customer service several times but reached voicemail. I left a few messages. I also sent an email asking for an immediate call back. This was at 1:30 EST on a weekday. The electrician kept messing with it, shutting off breaker, unplugging the circuit board, etc and thankfully it finally came on. That was two days ago and the company has not returned my calls or even my email. The water heater works but customer service is lacking if there is a problem. I’m giving three stars since it’s working now, fortunately. If I had to have the electrician make another house call and had to take cold showers while waiting for a response it would be zero stars.
