I used it for a boneless leg of lamb and twice for a whole five pound chicken. As the directions state you need to truss the meat so it will turn freely. I purchased some flexible truss strings from Amazon which made the job very easy. The rotisserie aspect produces a succulent piece of meat or chicken. Take note that cranked power lasts about 45 minutes. You might need to crank it up again if you have a larger piece of meat. You’ll have to remove the food and crank it up some more. My unit came with two types of cranks. A dial type and an Alan key type. The base is pretty stable but I suggest placing it on a small baking sheet for more stability. I most definitely recommend this product. Convenient and easy to use.

This is great! Chicken came out delicious. Only gave 4 stars because the hand winder doesn’t last long enough to cook the whole chicken so you much take it out and turn it again, which is difficult when it’s all hot from being in the oven.

This thing works as advertised, but it doesn’t operate long enough. To properly cook a 5 lb rotisserie chicken, you need about 2 hours. This thing will only last an hour max. I wish this information wasn’t buried. It also feels flimsy and unstable when transporting to and from the oven.

This product is excellent in Theory but in REALITY IT STINKS. You have to rewind it too much for a 5 pound chicken that it doesn't spin loaded but unloaded it spins fine. A Bust of an idea that somehow they get people to buy for way more than it's worth!!! Maybe for $25 or $30 I would have kept it but not for the full price. It also has a chemical smell after you bake it like the inside of the power mechanism isn't holding up well to the oven heat so I'd recommend steering away from this.
