Filters do there job but I put these in a custom wood desk and the way the screw holes are made they tend to push on the corners and bend in the middle. So maybe they are better if you use them in a regular steel or aluminum case.

This is false advertising. This can not possibly be dust proof, hard to call it a dust filter even really, more like debris filter or pet fur and human hair filter. The holes in the mesh are too big for it be dust proof. On the picture attached you see the filter lying flat on top of a 20 US dollar bill lying on top of a box of Noctua NF-S12A PWM chromax.Black.swap (all for scale), with a top mesh of a Fractal Design Meshify C case (first gen) lying on top of the filter on the right. You can see that the diameter of these holes in this filter is the same as in Meshify's mesh, but they are even larger by area (Meshify's mesh holes are round, this filter's square). That mesh is not a dust filter, however, it's there for decorative purposes mostly, and to prevent large debris like screws from falling into the case (might short the internals), same as the rigid front mesh (same holes), which has an actual filter behind it - a ~3-5 mm of a porous material that's finer and doesn't have completely through holes. However, if you _are_ after a pet fur & human hair & larger debris (like lego pieces & paper clips & small screws) filter, this is a great product, high build quality, sturdy and nice in hand, and very permeable for the air (low resistance). I think it's permeable enough to work with high airflow fans even, no need to go high static pressure (as usually necessary for actual dust filters and poor quality case meshes), even though, I haven't tried yet and won't be able to actually measure (how do you measure airflow).

The included screws fit the filters just fine, but the holes on my case are, like, a millimeter or two too big. So the screws don't catch, which means the filter can't attach. They need, like, a nut on the other side to hold them down, which are not included. Junk!
