Do NOT order this product unless you want water in your house.We installed this drain and when the bathtub drained water came through the ceiling.According to the plumber the black rubber washer in the kit (in image) is not the right size and when the drain was installed it bunches the black rubber washer up so there is no seal.

The picture says it all. This is clearly not 1 1/2 inches and doesn’t even come close to fitting my drain.

This doesn’t always stay up for draining the tub- to get it to stay open you have to turn the top, which eventually unscrews the entire top and disconnects it. Easy to screw it back in, but weird.

I originally bought this item because the "official" Moen Tub And Drain kit had increased in price by over $20 since I bought it for my first tub, and I thought that I could save some money on my bathroom renovation. When I got it, it didn’t quite match the color of my Moen Voss Roman tub faucet - yes, it is brushed nickel, but it is too gray in comparison, where the Moen has a bit of a yellow tint to it. I decided that it was worth the extra money to have all my fixtures match, so I ordered the "official" Moen tub drain, and am returning this one.You can see the color difference in my side-by-side photo.ps - remember that if you’re replacing a 2-hole tub overflow with a 1-hole, you’ll need to buy the conversion kit.
