UPDATEThis supplier responded to my concern and ensured I had the correct movement without the need to return the old one. Their customer service really came through, and I now have a perfectly working clock. Yheir support is appreciated and warrants a better rating. Thanks.The size stated is not completely accurate and the movement was too short. Although it did say eligible for return and shipped by Amazon(and Prime) they will charge for shipping, which was more than I paid for the movement. A good way to eliminate refunds.I believe it should be clearer that returns are not like other Amazon products and the shipping back is your responsibility, and they will charge lots! Movement looks ok, and well made, just don't recommend the company. And it was missing the hardware bag (mounting nuts etc.), which I am sure they would send to me as long as I paid for the shipping. Come to think of it they probably never need to replace one under warranty as its cheaper to buy a new one than pay the shipping costs..

When the original mechanism to my decade-old clock stopped working, I was at a quandary. I did not want to look for a replacement clock nor did I want my current clock to end up in a landfill. With so few clock repair shops around, I called a place (that was 20 or so miles from my house) only to be told that they could replace the mechanism "if the clock does not have a glass cover." Um, okay. My clock has glass. I asked if they sold the mechanism by itself; the answer was no.I then went to YouTube to figure out the level of difficulty in doing the replacement myself. After a few helpful details about shaft length, etc., difficulty level appeared to be quite low. I took the mechanism out of my clock, inspected it for a part number and then ordered this 12888. When I got the part in, it was IDENTICAL to the original mechanism and when I put it into my old clock, the clock ran better than new with absolutely no sound from the movement.Very pleased with this product and myself for breathing new life into a perfectly good item.

It took me a while to find this replacement for my wall clock and I had to measure carefully to make sure I got the right size due to the many shaft sizes available. The setup instructions were clear and I had no trouble doing the replacement. The clock seems to keep accurate time after having it run for a few weeks. Very glad I was able to get my old clock going with such a cheap and simple fix.

Bought this to replace a movement that died.Runs great a very quiet, no tik tok noise.Easy to replace with the old one, and it came with two sets of hands, a long and short pair.

I needed this to fix a broken Stuart Austin desk clock. I was not able to find the short shaft the original motor had. Ultimately, I found this motor which has a slightly longer shaft, but the shaft diameters were correct. I was able to make it work by letting the screws on the back plate out a little bit so the second hand wasn't forced against the glass. No one will notice the backer and it fixed the clock.

I got a small triple-clock stand years ago, and two of the clocks died. I was able to disassembled the clocks from the stand, so I decided to get these replacements.These clocks are very quiet and move correctly. If the last clock dies, I will buy another one.

It didn't come with hands and the hands that I already had did not fit even though I measured them.

After looking at several different clock mechanisms to replace a failed one, I selected this as it appeared to be the closest fit, and the provided measurements matched.HOWEVER, none of the clock hands fit the shafts on this mechanism, so it's useless to me.
