Runs quiet which is improvement. Make sure you measure the spindle when ordering. Putting on the hands was harder than the instructions which say to push gently. Had to use tools. But so happy to have this special clock running again. Now if could only find the model that has a trigger wire to drive things on the hour.

I bought this SILENT clock movement to serve as the heart of my rabbit-themed clock for my daughter-in-law. This kit includes 2 clock movements, 4 sets of hands, 2 clamping nuts, 2 gaskets, and 2 wall mounting brackets.I don't like the Tic-Tic-Tic of other clock movements and so the Silent feature was very important to me. I like that the included clock hands have various finishes (not just black) and I appreciate the wall mounting bracket. I also appreciate that I can get two clock movements for not much more that the cost of a single clock movement.Please note that the "total shaft length" is -not- the same as the "clamp length" which is the total length of the -threaded- portion of the mounting tube/shaft. You must have a "clamp length" that is greater than the thickness of the clock/board where you are mounting this clock movement. Failing this, you will have to cut out a recess on the back side of your clock/board to achieve the necessary protruding thread.I used the gold-colored hands that came with this kit, in order to contrast against the dark finish of the wood. I think it came out rather well!

I need clock works for ceramic clock, these fit the bill. They had a tall shaft but short arms.Once installed clocks have been working fine . Very pleased with purchase.

I really appreciated the complete and understandable instructions which made installing the new clock mechanism a breeze. The choice of clock hands was a plus, too. And the price was right!

This clock movement was the perfect solution to bringing our patio clock back from the scrape heap. Using the dimensions and specifications provided by Lily Glory, I determined that it should be a good match for the failed clock motor, but when I received it I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the motor. It was much more heavy-duty than the previous motor and was well-sealed against dust and contaminants getting into the inner workings of the clock. Since the clock lives on the patio, this was of particular importance. The motor fit perfectly in the recess in the clock left by the old motor and it even had molded tabs to hold the motor case in place. The shaft was the perfect length to fit through the clock face without contacting the cover lens and was secured using the nut and washer provided in the kit. Although I actually used the old minute and hour hands because they were longer and matched the large clock better, I used the second hand that came with the kit to add that function to the clock that it did not have previously. This movement seems to be much better than the original; we expect to enjoy our re-animated patio clock for a long time. Thank you Lily Glory for an excellent product and prompt service!
