I’ve never bought one of these so I did lots of research. I’m so glad I did because this one is really well-made, very sharp and very precise when cutting paper. I also like the safety switch in the plastic guard.

This paper cutter works perfectly cutting paper. The cut is clean and easy. I like the wood cutting board that gives a solid support and weight to hold the paper still in place. Had a lot of fun projects with this.

I don't really find myself cutting paper very often, but I do have to cut soft foam material. ...and using scissors for that is a serious pain. This guillotine cutter has made that task much quicker and easier though, and has saved quite a bit of frustration.

This paper cutter feels and little expensive for what you get. The paper cutter works really well, and comes with a couple cute accessories, however, the size is smaller and requires being thread through the plastic edge which makes lining up edges a little tricky. I have had a few instances where I have had to reprint because the edge was closer or further than I thought (probably just user error). One other aspect that is not my favorite is that the pivot for the cutter is close to where you line up your paper. Meaning if you don't actively lift the handle when lining up your edges you'll have your paper pushed down creating a crooked line. I've used many paper cutter and this is one of the only ones I have had fairly consistent issues with lining up my edges. I'll get better with time after adjusting more to this paper cutter, but it's not beginner friendly. I do appreciate that there is a safety feature to keep the slicing arm locked into place. It's easy to store in my craft cupboard and it is lightweight enough I can pull it in and out without difficulty!
