I was planning to use these while making some repairs to my rowboat. Of the first 3 I tried, all required two hand and arm maximum force on the rivet gun to make the mandrel move at all. Of the 3, I managed to make 1 pop off under extreme force. I was unable to make the other 2 pop off.After this failed attempt I read another person's review. It says they fit well in a pneumatic riveter. Ah! I am using the wrong tool. I checked the Rufus question tool. It says "the product information does not explicitly mention if special tools are required for installation". Yes it is!!! They absolutely can not be installed with common hand power rivet guns. It would be nice if the description mentioned this.For me, these rivets are already in the trash. For someone who happens to have a pneumatic riveter, they might be OK. I have changed my star rating from 1 to 3.

I love these rivets as they literally seal off the holes in the joints where they are used. These are easy to use and fit into pneumatic rivet guns as well. No issues in application as they fit well into 3/16” perforations when used with sharp drill bits. Highly recommended for damp locations and where repairs require some degree of water resistance. As a bonus with the ends closed off dirt does not get lodged in the ends of the closed rivets.

Rivet kit seems to be as advertised and works. Wish the kit would have came with longer ones. Time will tell how good they are.
