The satisfying CLICK of each rivet locking in place is borderline addictive—I started with a simple repair and ended up reinforcing my entire garage. The black rivets? Sleek. Stylish. Intimidating. My projects now look like they belong in a secret spy lair. The only downside? My wife caught me trying to rivet random things together, including my own pocket. 10/10, would recommend—just use with supervision if you have an overactive imagination like me.

It bought this tool to replace a rivet on my tool box that had come lose and because I figured it would just be nice to have around. It worked great I ran a handful of rivets through it both the 5/32 size and the 1/8in and they seem to be working great. I have not experienced the mandrel getting lodged in the back of the tool as some have.

I liked that this tool appears to be heavy duty, is of a good size and comes with four interchangeable rivet heads. A wrench is included to change out the heads and is conveniently carried in the inside of one handle.While testing it on a metal plate, I was successful in riveting four 3/16 x 3/8 rivets. Then I tried an 1/8 x 1/4 rivet and the mandrel became lodged in the rivet gun when it broke from the rivet. I worked with it for a few minutes but it was not coming loose. So I ended up having to remove the rivet head from the tool and use a large drill to push the mandrel out the back, which was difficult as it was tightly wedged.I understand nothing is perfect, so I tried two more times and had the same result. Thankfully I was at home testing it out and not in the field depending on this tool.For someone who tinkers a little and rarely uses a rivet tool this might pass with a little frustration. But for someone who uses a rivet tool often, I suggest investing in a better model.I will be returning this tool and reordering something else. I hope this helps with your future purchasing,

WhT I liked was the kit supplied with various of rivet sizes and it was what I use to have excellent buy and valued price.
