The hardware that came with our pool ladder wouldn’t work because we have flagstone laid over a concrete base around the pool. We needed much longer wedge anchors to ensure the ladder was tied to the concrete base and not just the flagstone.Using a hammer drill and masonry bit, we drilled the holes, dropped in these wedge anchors and were able to install our pool ladder with confidence that it wouldn’t get pulled out of a shallow anchor.

I used these to attach 2x6's to the outer edges of my driveway where it passes over a ditch to create a raised lip. They anchored well and pulled the treated lumber snuggly against the sides. It's important to blow out the dust from the holes to make sure the anchor can go all the way in and grips to solid material.
