Easy to install, did it myself but 2 people would've been easier. You remove 2 bolts and 2 nuts to remove stairs from the frame you mount. Then you hang ladder on 2 of the bolts you removed earlier, then you use the 2 nuts to attach the spring assist that makes it easier to collapse upward onto frame bracket. 800 lb capacity 9.5 ft vertical wall was perfect fit. I'm 200lb - seems to be made well and easy to put up but wife thought too heavy for her to put up.

Decent ladder. The hardware it comes with is only meant for concrete which is probably the least likely scenario for this product. Get yourself 4 3/8”x2” lag screws with washers and lock nuts. The handles are a very poor design. No wall with 16” on center will have a stud on the side of the mounting plate. Plan on installing them above the plate once I get more hardware. Another gripe is that there is no adjustment for uneven stud placement. Better hope your home was built well.I installed the unit at max height which is essentially 10’ to the top of the plate. I would recommend going about 6” lower. Stairs are slightly slanted at that height even with the max adjustment in the spring arms.Installation is easy, if you’ve installed a tv mount you can do this. Stairs are fairly light but at the height I’ve installed it isn’t the easiest for my wife to get up and down, keep that in mind. Stairs are stable when stationary but shake when climbing. I’m 6’ 6” close to 300lbs and it was fine.Overall I’d say it’s good value but you’re getting what you paid for. I’ll update if it doesn’t last long.

Works great for me and it's strong, I had a friend who weighs 370 to 400 lbs. try it and it's a bit wobbly with him but that's to be expected. It held up just fine.

I bought this product to have stairs going up to my loft. What they had up there before to get into the loft was a birch bark ladder that was nailed to the wall. This was a much easier and safer solution.

Nicely put together and can be adjusted to your height needs.

With limited space in a tiny house for much of anything, these retractable stairs are perfect! I was a bit skeptical because the instructions are very minimal and they don't have dimensions of the stairs extended. Luckily for me, they fit perfectly for my loft. And installation was easy, I did it myself, and only fell off the ladder once.

I installed this to go i to the loft in my barn, it worked perfectly. It was easy to install with 2 people but I can’t imagine one person doing it. The stairs are very heavy and you have to hold them up while putting the bolts through the frame- definitely a 2 person thing. But the staircase is great!
