It does the job, but had to tape it closed after installing wires. The tool they give you 2 of is just about useless, both of them disintegrated within 2 minutes of using. The product itself basically breaks at the seam opposite the cut side while you’re installing the wires, and doesn’t close back up fully. Nothing a little bit of electrical tape couldn’t fix, and for the price it’s serving it’s purpose.e

The listing says 1/2" and no mention of a metric equivalent as so many products do these days. So based on the missing metric mention I assumed it would indeed be 1/2". It is NOT! its 12mm. It measures .472 which is 12mm not .500 as it would be if it were actually 1/2". Might not make much difference to some people. But to me it does. If I wanted 12mm I would have searched for that.

purchased this product to protect an extension cord outside. the split was continuous and made for easy installation. we'll see how well it holds up (?).
