While I haven't been able to use my mower yet (I'm using my snowblower now), I did get to replace my old shield on the mower. This new shield has a curved lower edge, my old part had a flat straight edge. This has a soft flexible rubber - my old shield had dried and hardened. This is a quality replacement part.
