Only had to drill a few holes, but using a dewalt hammer drill, this had no problem with several holes in a concrete patio in a few seconds per hole. Very little wear on the bit after that, but it was only a couple holes so not certain how durable this is if you need to do a lot of drilling.

Solid bit. No issues. Durability is more dependent on substrate you are drilling. I've had name brand bits fry on the second hole all the same. This bit represents a good value.

Threw this bit into my Dewalt Rotary Hammer Drill and tested on a piece of basalt- bore a clean hole quickly. Also drilled cleanly through cement block, but that is a much softer material so the basalt was the true test. I only bore 4 holes, so I don't have extensive torture-test results for this, but so far I am happy.

Very disappointed. Does not drill through brick worth a crap. Save your money, buy one from harbor freight. Much better drill bit

This is a good looking bit as far as masonry bits go. It seems to be well fluted and the tip is brazed well. It's a pretty decent length although I couldn't drill completely through an 8" concrete block. I also like that it is SDS type so that I don't have to worry about it coming loose and spinning as I have had with some regular masonry bits.

When I embarked on my latest home improvement project, I needed to install posts into a concrete pad that I'd poured myself. Knowing that this task would demand a sturdy and reliable drill bit, I turned to the GRIXLEN 5/16 x 12.2 inch SDS Plus Masonry Drill Bit. This drill bit met my expectations and then some, making it a valuable addition to my toolkit. One of the standout features of this drill bit is its design, which is perfectly suited for use with a rotary hammer drill. I love using my rotary hammer drill for heavy-duty projects like this, and I specifically seek out bits that can handle its power. The GRIXLEN drill bit did not disappoint. Its robust construction includes two cutters and a double-fluted design that efficiently draws out debris as you drill. This feature was particularly helpful, as it kept the holes clean and allowed for smoother, faster drilling.I was genuinely impressed with how quickly I was able to drill multiple holes in six-inch thick concrete. The bit's efficiency saved me a considerable amount of time and effort. What truly amazed me, though, was the bit's durability. I am accustomed to masonry bits wearing out quickly, especially when tackling tough materials like concrete. However, this bit still has plenty of life left in it after drilling a couple of dozen holes. The durability of the GRIXLEN drill bit has convinced me to purchase another size that I frequently use in cement products. I look forward to many future projects with these drill bits, and I won't dread the day when I finally need to replace them. The bit's resilience and efficiency make it a worthy investment for any serious DIY enthusiast or professional. The GRIXLEN 5/16 x 12.2 inch SDS Plus Masonry Drill Bit is a high-quality, reliable tool that stands up to demanding tasks. Its efficient design, durability, and compatibility with rotary hammer drills make it an excellent choice for anyone working with concrete, brick, or block. I highly recommend this drill bit for its outstanding performance and value.
