Holes were entirely too big. Activated charcoal fell out easily. Waste of money. Definitely not a fine mesh.

Great for mini aqauscapes! I fill with aqua soil, and you can create great height plus it keeps it all contained, and stops migrating to the surface.

I used the filter mesh pockets to hold my charcoal and zeolite it works perfectly plus it's cheaper to do it yourself - plus also buy the filter media and your aquarium will be clear and clean but mostly healthy for your fish kids ..
