This support is well built of quality materials, but is shipped without any protection at all. As a result, chips of wood were missing on the cross beam and it looks damaged😐

I read some reviews about this product that were, shall we say, less than glowing. However the one I got was good quality, solid and well built. I even compared it to the ones I found at Lowes and found the one from Amazon a much higher quality. It was exactly what I hoped it would be when I placed my order and I was not disappointed. It's excellent.

Had to return the first one because it was cracked to bad to repair. I'm sure it wasn't shipped that way. Second one, also cracked. But I was able to repair it.

My first review ever but this product deserves one. Do not purchase. I decided to order this to save some time and just have it delivered. The wood is high enough quality for a mailbox post but I see no evidence of pressure treating. The workmanship in the joinery is absolutely disgraceful, I am in no way a woodworker but I could have done a much better job in about an hour's time with nothing but the very basic tools in my garage. I probably would have just dealt with the poor workmanship and installed it with a LOT of silicon in the joints to hide the gaps before paint but the vertical post was cracked completely through at the joint of the horizontal piece. The top part of the post was only still attached by the screws in the horizontal piece. This may have just been bad luck but I would look elsewhere or just head to the local big box ($20.00 cheaper anyway). I am returning for a refund.
