I used to work for the phone company as a cable splicer. We called these things “Popcorn” because when you look at a pile of these it sorta reminds you of popcorn. Anyway, we use these to connect (splice) wires together. After the phone company I worked for a copier manufacturer as a field technical representative . I used these things to repair broken data wires inside the machines. They are easy to use and are perfect for repairing low voltage wiring.

Project: Rewiring arcade control panel.Used 22ga wire and these connectors worked like a charm. I used a crimping tool as you really need to clamp down on them using pliers. Highly recommend for ease of use, size, and reliability

I used this to upgrade the existing wiring in a system that had been abandoned inside a commercial building that was being leased by a local church. These connectors allowed me to splice new wires to the existing ones where they were cut off too short to re-run to a new Honeywell VISTA panel. They worked well, very firm connections after crimping and no issues with continuity. The new system works great now.

Used many of these when I worked in telecom. The small end opening on these seems to be a bit larger than it used to be. Otherwise, it works fine.

These worked very well for my low-voltage application. They were very easy to use. I was skeptical about not having to strip insulation before feeding into the connector, but to my surprise, the connection is so good that even without taking off insulation and just crimping the connector with the wires in, the resistance across the splice was very low. Works like a charm. Silicone will help in potentially wet areas.
