The kit came packaged in a clear zip style bag which was folded and taped. I was careful when opening by cutting the tape so that I could continue to use the zipper bag for storage.Not only does this kit come with the positive and negative 10 gauge cable, it also includes a bag of copper cable lugs, in-line fuse receptacles, 40A bayonet style fuses, and a generous amount of red and black shrink tubing. Aside from the tools needed, this kit really does include everything one might need to install a car stereo or most other 12 V accessories.The cable itself is made from braided aluminum sheathed in a tough but flexible rubber insulation material that is easy to strip. The insulation on the red cable is translucent which allows you to see the braided cable inside (the black is opaque). I was actually very impressed at the flexibility of this cable. Those that do any car wiring will appreciate the ability to route this cable around tight corners, especially when working in cramped spaces.I was also pleasantly surprised at the amount of shrink tubing included in the kit. There was a full 40 inch length of both black and red shrink tubing which the listing really does not do justice to, in my opinion.The two sizes of cable lugs in the kit fit 3/8” and 1/4” studs. The in-line fuse receptacles take the bayonet style fuses quite well and hold them snugly. The attached protective covers, then fit tightly over the fuse and will definitely protect it from road grime and moisture.One of my favorite benefits of kits like this is that I can keep it on hand for use in many different projects. I always love to have these kinds of resources in my shop to save me trips to the store.
