Nice sturdy thick copper wire. Subwoofers are wired up with this and have plenty left to do more. Also looks super cool!

It was made way better than I was expecting for the price. The green is nice and vibrant!

This speaker wire is great. I have been redoing my stereo system in my Silverado and this wire was perfect for my subwoofers. 8 gauge wire will handle any amount of power that I may ever plan to use. So even if I upgrade my amplifier, my wiring will still be good. The wire is very easy to manage and maneuver, unlike the wire I was replacing. The black and green wires look really good running to an enclosure. The sleeve was fairly easy to strip so that you can expose the wire. Once the pvc sleeve is stripped the wire does expand a little so taming it in order to place a terminal on it will be necessary. My audio quality has improved. My old wiring started to produce a hissing somewhat static like noise, but once it was replaced with this heavier better quality wire, majority of that noise was eliminated. This is an excellent option for subwoofers.

This wire arrived in excellent condition. The spool and plastic wrap, plus the hardiness of the wire itself, provide good protection. So is it 8 gauge? I made a crude attempt to measure its diameter with a caliper. I stripped the first inch and a half of the green wire, twisted it as tightly as I could, and then applied the caliper. My first photo shows the outcome: 3.55 mm. 8 ga is supposed to be 3.24 mm, so my simple test suggests this wire measures up well. So is it copper clad aluminum? My second photo shows the ends, which are clearly aluminum-colored, while the perimeters are copper colored. I conclude it is CCA. The strands have a mind of their own. When I let go of the end I twisted on the green wire, the strands largely unwound. This is common for these heavier multi-strand wires. It means when you go to anchor an end you need to be sure all of the stands are well captured, to get best conductivity and to avoid stray strand shorts. The insulation is very flexible (as is the whole cable) and tough. I used a box-cutter to carefully strip the green wire and it took multiple passes to get through the insulation, without going on into the wire. Overall I find this to be just as promised, and of very good quality. I'll be using it to get from some solar panels to a charge controller. For that application, this wire is perfect.

When it comes to speaker wire, I'm somewhere in the middle. I don't believe that a $10,000 pair of speaker cables makes my music sound better, but I'm not one to use 16 gauge lamp cord to wire my nice speakers even though it would technically do the job. I'm usually looking for a speaker cable in the 12-8 gauge range, and flexibility is definitely an issue. This cable addresses both of those things very well. It's a nice 8 gauge wire that has excellent maneuverability and can be cut to custom length and capped with your choice of connectors. The sound coming from the speakers is what I expected to hear, so it's doing its job and I don't think there's a lot more to say. It's wire, it's thick, and it conducts a signal. Good enough for me to recommend.
