After finding that I had to Aluminum re-coat my flat roof every 4 -5 years , I wondered if this stuff would offer more durability. I have used this stuff 4 years ago and it seems to be hanging in there, no peeling, cracking,no water fatigue, just a water tight rubber-like seal. When applied to a squeaky-cleaned surface the adherence is great. I am thinking I might get maybe 10+ years before I need a reapplication if that soon!

We tried for several years to stop a persistent leak in our metal shed roof using various methods. Nothing worked so I called a roofer we had used for our shingles and he recommended trying this product. Finally this worked on that leak and others where the carport abuts the house. The product went on quite easily and firmed up on the roof within an hour. It has been 18 months since this was applied and no further leaks have happened since then and the roof is subject to the intense Florida sun all day long.

I have a fiberglass roof that is flat. It is nearly ten years old and was starting to develop small leaks. One coat of this stuff and the leaks have stopped. I also noticed that the summer electric bills were more manageable. The third floor of my house gets very hot in the summer with full sun on it. This stuff really helped keep the house cooler without cranking up the aircon.

I love the way it’s self leveling, it’s very easy to roll on. The water beads up after a rain and just runs off. It’s bright white in color so it reflects the sun rays and actually keeps the travel trailer cooler!

This coating is amazing. Does exactly what is says it will do. Very thick, like melted cheese, self leveling, applies easily. Just clean the roof very well, tape your seams, brush on around the air units and vents and roll on the rest of the roof with a medium knap micro fiber roller. I did my 35 ft motorhome for under $600 including 3 rolls of seam tape. Much cheaper and better than replacing a whole roof with membrane. What's better is that it's totally waterproof. A must for all rv's.

This was a project I had been dreading but I finally got up the gumption to do it—and thankfully it wasn’t nearly as hard as I had expected. We have a 32-foot fifth wheel with some years on it, and the roof has sun damage and cracking, so it was critical to coat it before it starts leaking. Rubber roofs will leak sooner or later if you don’t keep them coated and the joints sealed. I used 5 gallons of the Marlin coating for the project, and mixed it with a drill attachment for mixing mortar; a paint mixing attachment should also work.Proper cleaning is of course the key to good adhesion so we scrubbed down the roof with a good scrub brush, TSP and bleach. This took two of us a couple of hours. Then it had to dry, which took a few days because thunder storms kept re-wetting the roof.I taped around the vents and gutters to keep from getting the coating where I didn’t want it, and then cut in around the openings and where the EPDM rubber rolls over the sides of the trailer using a 4-inch brush. Be sure to seal all joints especially well. Don’t make the same mistake I made with the brush: get a decent brush even though you’ll have to toss it afterwards because the cheap brushes will constantly shed. This is very thick material and it’s a hassle to have to pull out the hairs the brush has shed. This part took a couple of hours.Next came the main coating, which went fast using a roller with a pole. Be careful not to paint yourself into a corner! I poured out a little out at a time and spread it with the roller. Put it on thick, and be sure to keep the bucket covered so it doesn’t thicken up on you before you can get it spread well. This part only took about an hour. The result is a smooth, shiny roof that looks great and protects your RV. The only issue we’ve had is that it’s slick when it gets wet.

This coating went on very smooth on the top of my RV roof. I poured a generous amount onto a section about 4’x8’ and then I would roll it out with a medium nap roller until it felt like it was spread thick and fairly evenly. I liked that I could get this in a tan color because my roof is tan from the factory. Some of the other 100% silicone roof sealants only come in white. One other thing I’ll mention…My EPDM rubber roof extends over the sides of my camper about 6” or so. I had to use a 3”-4” brush to apply onto the sides and I had to use 3 light coats to keep it from running and each coat had to be completely dry before applying the next one. That part was kind of difficult but I shouldn’t have to do it again for at least 25 years! I meant to take a few pictures of the roof after application but didn’t. Hopefully I’ll get some and post them soon because it really looks great!P.S…Don’t waste your time trying to clean the roller and brushes. Just throw them away. 😁
