The coins all have points sticking out of the edge on each end. It's probably from the mold and when they broke them out of mold or frame/sheet. These will work as fillers in a vase or on top of a table but if you are wanting to throw, don't!. The print and color on each coin is nice.

Every single doubloon had 2 small plastic pieces sticking out from the sides of the coin where they were once connected. This causes the coin to be sharp and not safe to distribute to children. These were returned and I will be looking for better quality medal ones in the future.
