These coins are realistic visually but are plastic and easy to handle. Item was bought to teach the kids how to count and interpret money which we use during pretend play. This allowed for learning the exchange of money between buyer and seller.

It's perfect for my 6 year old! The coins look very realistic. They are plastic and very lightweight. I'm glad I didn't buy the more exspensive fake money, this one is perfect! I only needed one order, it was enough to fill up my daughter's play cash register.
