Thought I had a bad starter since the (1yr old) battery was fully charged all the connections were good(or so I thought). I put it in and had the exact same symptoms of cranking occasionally, clicking starter or absolutely nothing. I finally figured out that it was some film on the positive battery post that was there since the battery was new that didn't come off using a battery post cleaner. Had to use a file and a flat bladed screwdriver to get that film off. Now works like a charm. New starter fits properly out of the box other than needing to loosen/rotate the terminal that comes from the starter switch and turns over the engine faster than the old one so I'm leaving in there and keeping the old one as a spare.

This fit my mower that uses a CV624S kohler engine seamlessly. Was cheaper to get this whole starter unit than just the starter solenoid I was replacing. Took 30 seconds to replace and i was up and running again.

Starter looks good, seems to work well, though I haven't had it in service long....time will tell I guess. Price was very good.

Arrived a day sooner than expected. Got it in my lawn tractor. Bought this as it has a year warranty. Sounds like good customer service. Tractor back in service.

Price was 1/2 of what the other retail stores wanted , it was an exact replacement for the old one , although I found my issue was a bad switch I installed the new starter and it works great. Also the starter shipped and arrived in less than 12hrs to my front door.
