I got this Foam Padding with Adhesive Backing to reduce vibration noise in my Tesla Y. The adhesive backing made application incredibly easy, I just peeled off the cover and stuck it where I needed vibration dampening in the trim. The neoprene material is perfect for insulation and vibration dampening purposes. It effectively reduced the rattling and vibration from my speakers and dash, making for a quieter, more enjoyable drive. The material cuts easily and form fits where you need it.Bottom Line: This neoprene foam is an excellent choice for DIY insulation or vibration reduction. Its quality adhesive and material perform well for their intended use. I recommend it!

I'm using these pads for a unique application - to deaden the sound and impact vibration in the steel helmet I use for medieval combat. I'm pretty sure I've given myself permanent hearing damage (24/7 tinnitus) from just using regular helmet padding. We use heavy rattan swords, not steel, but still, my helm rang like a bell.My solution was two-fold. First, I got a damping spray for use on cars, like inside the engine compartment. I taped off and then sprayed the heck out of the inside of the helm, multiple coats, letting each dry. Then I applied this padding, cutting as needed to give one or more layers for complete coverage, and added thickness where possible. The pads are quite thin. Then my old helmet pads went back in, utilizing a sticky-backed Velcro to hold them tight.Between the damping spray and these pads, there is marked improvement. I'm quite happy with the combo of products. The backing on these pads is quite sticky. Of course you have to have a decently flat, clean surface to stick them to. They stick just fine to that damping spray coating, even though it's a little bumpy, and the pads needed to be cut and bent into shape. I don't think they would stick to wet, dirty, or oily surfaces. So make sure to properly prep and dry the surface you're using them on.
