I installed these on my JL Audio subs that are over 25 years old. The subs are in great working order but the foam just rotted. These were a perfect fit and easy to install. I would definitely purchase again if I had to but I’m probably good for another 20 years. lol

I Had my old JL 10W0-4 stored with no use for almost 20 years.Few weeks ago i began a home audio project with a SMSL amplifier, SMSL DAC and a Yamaha bookshelf speakers, but i noticed that the base was week, searching i found a specific swobwoofwer amplifier fron FOSI audio and bougth it.When the FOSI arrived i talked old JL out of retirement.....in the cleaning process noticed that the outer foam ring was falling apart.summarizing the story...I thought that nothing could be done and I would have to buy another driver....to my surprise looking for a new driver, I found that there was a spare part for the foam ring...I bought it immediately, it arrived very fast and install it immediately too.Finished the installation and the glue already dried tested the old JL and began to kick as when it was new.The installation is tricky, but with care and calm it turns out quite well, the repair is hardly noticeable. This spare part saved the JL life, now is ready for many more years of use.

Bottom line: good quality. Easy to "install" and definitely beats spending $500+ for a new stock sub. Mine sounds like newI repaired a blown stock sub in my Lexus SC430. I was a little weary about using this kit and how effective it might be but I'm pleasantly surprised so far. If you are good with basic instructions this kit is really simple to use. The most difficult part by far was removing the speaker from my car. The sound is infinitely better and the speaker works like new.Stock subs: 100% recommendAftermarket subs: since they push so much more wattage and the speaker moves much more I'd suggest just buying a new sub. This kit seems like it's good quality but I couldn't imagine it would hold up too well in a 1000 watt sub or something crazy like that.

Worked perfectly on my 10w3 sub. I watched the youtube video a time or two while I was doing the work. I glued in the new surround and let it all dry overnight. I've been listening to this sub for 15 years, and after this repair it sounds absolutely perfect. In fact it sounds better than I remember it sounding in a very long time, which makes me think my surround had been deteriorating for longer than I thought.I would totally recommend this to everyone over buying a new sub.

These surrounds were are worth their weight in gold. Saved my old jl subs from the dumpster and saved me a ton of money. You definetly need to take your time putting them on so the cone stays straight but if you pull it off you can't go wrong. Worst thing you can do is mess it up and have to try again or buy new speakers anyway right. Oh and a little glue goes a long way here. I was a little to generous and had a mess to clean up.
