HROMIGRY Heavy Duty Wedge Concrete Anchors

  • Our wedge anchor bolts for concrete are available in diameters of 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 1", and are available in zinc plated carbon steel and stainless steel to make the through bolt resistant to rust.

Installation Instructions

1

Using the hammer drill to drill a hole in the concrete, which is as big as the diameter of the wedge anchor.

2

Clean out all the dust and debris of the hole.

3

Hammer the anchor into the drilled hole to the desired depth.

4

Tighten the nut with a torque wrench to ensure the bottom portion wedge is expanded in order to lock the anchor in place firmly.

INSTALLATION TIPS:

1. Be sure to drill the hole straight.

2. Thread nut to the desired depth before hammering to avoid damaging the thread and knocking too deep.

3. Once the anchor is inserted, it will not be easily removed due to the expansion clip.

4. Choose the right size drill bit, drill the hole that is the same diameter as the anchor, larger hole may cause the bolt to rotate during tightening.

5. You can drill the hole slightly deeper than the entire length of the anchor, so that if you want to remove the anchored item later you can hammer the anchor down into the hole.

A 25-pack seems like a lot at first, but if you’re putting in vertical deck supports or building an addition, they vanish pretty quick.Quality-wise these matched up to anything you would get at the big box stores, and the value was spot-on. If you’re a little paranoid about how well these work in the event of vertical lift-out you CAN put a dollop of epoxy in the hole to provide a belt-and-suspenders approach, but it isn’t strictly required. These will hold fine for most lateral loads.BTW, while simple enough to do, I actually appreciate the pre-printed minimum depth blue marks (see the picture) on them. It’s one of those sanity check items that jumps out at you, especially if you get distracted in the middle of installing them.

I used these to repair some balcony railings that had pulled out of the concrete. I took out the smaller ones 7/16 and replaced with 1/2”. This worked perfect for what I needed. I needed the 7” long ones to fit through the railing. Good anchor and easy to install.

This type of wedge anchor can be tricky sometimes. When using this size, I drill a slightly larger hole in the concrete than what is called out in the specs. I add anchoring epoxy as opposed to relying solely on the expansion portion when the nut is tightened. This method has served me well in the past. Retail price is in the ballpark for this type of wedge anchor.

I ordered this for the pergola I will be building. They arrived on time and as described. At 5/8 and 7", they're perfect for the pergola. I'm pleased with the quality of the anchors and recommend them.

I used these anchors during a shed building and didnt have any issues with them. They pound in and tighten up flawlessly. They are holding down 6x6 brackets and have done a great job. Comparing these to the big box store its the same quality at close to the same price just slightly cheaper. Overall their worth the wait at a slight discount if your not in a rush.

These work just fine for me. They are so much cheaper than going to the big box store. They are half to a third the price. If there is a concern about the strength, just go up a size. Most applications won't matter. I am using them to anchor walls to a foundation for a cabin.

The HROMIGRY 1/2" x 7" Concrete Wedge Anchors are well designed. The wedge creates a strong grip on the concrete or stone. I am using these to secure a satellite antenna tower to sandstone bedrock. I chose the 7-inch because I want the grip to be deep in the stone.
