I used the mylar along with other shades to block street lights from my bedroom at night which helps me to sleep better. The size is more than enough to cover both halves of a sliding glass patio door; I just folded some of over to fit. When I used it this way it cuts down on the amount of light but does not block light entirely.

The size and reflective qualities of this mylar made it a great addition to my DIY seedling / clone grow space. Wrapped it around a portable closet on wheels, wrapped a comforter around the entire thing and boom, I have a portable grow room!
