I bought these silver sheets for a project at my job. We were making kaleidoscopes and this was the best value for my money compared to other products. After the product arrived, I found it to be great quality and seems durable, not too thin.It is very shiny which I’m happy about and will work well for a kaleidoscope as far as performance. This product is also very versatile and can be used for a wide variety of craft projects or hobby work.

I mainly use it to block the growing light. They were set up in our living room so the lights are annoying to the eyes. It does a great job. It reflect the lights for sure and it will heat up the tent. Be careful it may burn your plants. Need ventilation sometimes.

Hey for10 smacks $ this is a great deal . Yes it’s thin but when unfolded and start at the top and work your way down with a good painter’s masking tape it works great . Highly reflective

Does what it's supposed to, decent enough. Feels a little easy to tear and the squares it was packed in don't go away.Just be a little gentle with it, you'll be ok with this purchase

I got this stuff to use with my areogarden in my living room so the grow light doesn't blind me. So bright.I didn't find it fragile at all, and I was not gentle with it.However, multiple layers are needed for light blockage. Given its price, that's perfectly fine.

I read that Mylar is an insulator and non-conductive for electricity. This entire sheet conducts electricity. Mylar is a plastic/polyurethane so I don't know why it's conductive. Is this product coated with aluminum?

I used the mylar around my cactus shelf so that my plant lights and the sun reflect more light to ensure their growth. Extremely affordable, doesn’t hold heat, easy set up with magnets. Not super thick but that’s what i was looking for. And cutting it was hard, try cutting before installation to make sure it doesn’t tare when cutting at an odd angle.

I used this to put behind cherry tomatoes and basil plants on the south windowsill, it keeps the plants from leaning towards the window, and very nicely blocks the sun's heat into the house. The film is very thin, and I would not put it anywhere it might get wear. I did manage to fold over the bottom edge and put some plastic grommets into it, though, as I was going to tether the bottom to keep the lightweight film from wafting about with any air current passing by, like from the front door closing, but it ended up that simply the weight of the grommet with the weight of a small ball bungee in it, was weight enough to counter that flyaway.

Last year we started our garden seeds indoors and put the seedlings by the patio door. They all bent towards the light and got long and spindly. Very few of them survived when transplanted into the garden. I saw a video where someone draped this sheet behind the plants by a window so the light would reflect back on them and they were surrounded by sunlight. They grew straight and strong and ALL of them survived the transplanting process. What a simple solution.
