Not only did it work as promised, but saved me from having to go out to my wellhouse in the frigid weather to turn my heat lamp off and on. Likely saved me A LOT of money, too, as I always just left the lamp on for days on end, nott wanting to trudge out to the well house to unplug it, fearing another cold snap would catch me off-guard, risking my whole system freezing.

Put in my water well house which is approximately 5 feet deep. I live in an area that can drop to 0 degrees or below. I have a heat lamp plugged into this device. Also have a remote thermometer in the well house. This is working very well this far. Keeps the well house between 38 and 50 degrees.

This plug has been so handy during the recent freezes here in Texas. We have a well with a pump house and if it freezes we have no water as well as other potential problems. Instead of having to trek out in the cold to plug in a heat lamp and potentially forget or ask my husband if he took care of it, we just plugged the heat lamp in to this and don’t have to worry. I did double check that it came on the first day, but after that I’ve felt comfortable knowing that it’s working as it should. I also have used it for a shelter for our outside cat that has a weight-activated heated pad inside. This way I know that the cat is safe and warm when it’s freezing out and also that it’s not staying on when the weather warms up or with big temperature fluctuations, which happen frequently where we live. I’d relied on a smart plug in the past that connected to the WiFi in our house and that worked fine, but someone still had to remember to turn it on and off since in this situation we didn’t need a timer, we needed it to come on when the weather takes a plunge and turn off when it warms up. I wish I’d known these plugs existed sooner!

It's too cold outside to see if it actually turns off but I see no reason that it won't. It seems to be durable. I'm using it fora heated outdoor bid bath.

Installed this plug in front of a low-watt heater for a well pump house. It failed. Pipes split. Had to pay a plumber $325 plus the lost water and muddy, cold mess. Do not recommend.

The product worked the first time plugged (temp was 33 degrees), light came on and it powered a small heater. Have a remote thermometer that I was monitoring which after 5 minutes showed temperature had gone up to 36 dregrees, then switfly started to go back down again to 32. Went outside and this product was off. I had to run to a local store to get a new and different one so my water pump wouldn't freeze. The new cheaper one from a lcoal store worked great. It looks like this product is not being tested properly with a load.
