I'm really on the fence regarding this product, because it's just not as easy as I had hoped. Bear in mind, that could be just me, since I've spent decades dealing with both wooden & plastic triangles. It's basically all I know. This is very thin plastic, with diamond cutouts where the balls sit. They're just deep enough to keep the balls together, and supposedly "locks" them in.The problem that I have is that it's a confusing layout. Ultimately, I used it to set up a game of straight pool. 8-ball, 9-Ball, and even 10-ball. However, it was not straightforward. To me, a triangle is straightforward, even intuitive. The bottom line is that this works, seems to have no effect on balls rolling over it, and seems to be widely used. I guess I'm just an old timer. If you're someone who likes the newest fangled device, you'll love this. It does not mar the play surface in any way, and is easily taken away. For some reason, in spite of how thin it is, it somehow stays in place.I'm impressed with this item, yet also intimidated, at the same time. I like it, but I'm not sure I really understand it.
