OK, they a inexpensive and expectations should be low BUT no matter how bad the tuners are on your guitar they are better than these. I've never held a tuner this bad.

I have a 1970s Alvarez classic guitar model 5011. These replacement tuners fit almost perfectly in three out of four screw holes. Only one screw hole(one on each side) had to be drilled to complete the installation. The tuners themselves slid in with no effort. They looked almost exactly like the old ones and operate much more smoothly. The only complaint would be that the old screws were longer and much better than the short one sent with the tuners. Very pleased!
