This is a set of six guitar tuners/machine heads, complete with mounting screws (12) and press-fit chromed plastic bushings (6). There are 3 tuners meant for the left side of the headstock, and 3 meant for the right side - if you need all of them to be on one side of the headstock (called 6-in-a-line), this is not the set for you! The shafts of these tuners are 1/4" in diameter and have holes at the END (not the center). The shafts are just under 1 inch in length and the distance from the plate to the string hole is just over 7/8" (22.5mm). These tuners can be used for repair work, new instrument building, and are especially good for Cigar Box Guitars! Please note that it is important to mount these on the correct side of the headstock, otherwise the gears may slip. Always make sure the brass gear is aligned towards the body of the instrument, and not the top of the headstock, and you'll know you have them on the correct side!

These are great for cigar box guitars!.. I’ve bought a lot of these when building CBG.. They’re well made and the price is great!.. Never had any problems with these.. I’d recommend these to anyone!

Great tuning machines! The tuning action is definitely not perfect but that’s to do with the ratio rather than price. Honestly, the bargain is fantastic and these are a true fit for acoustic guitars- I bought these to replace “universal” 3x3 inline(s) tuning machine heads and these are actually the ones that worked! Hold tune very well and make your guitar look a lot more well put and handsome.

I got these to dress up a '66 Harmony Stella that I found in bad shape. Not the most desirable guitar of all time, but totally playable. The tuning pegs were broken and bent. These were a perfect replacement. They look a little vintage and they work perfect. I had to ream the holes a little, but again, they work and look great.

The first issue I ran into was the keys not turning smoothly. I used a wrench and bent the hooks holding the keys in place (since their current shape was grinding against it). Eventually I got them all to loosen up and turn smoothly. The next issue that made this experience total hell was how cheap and brittle the screws were. Almost all of them broke as I was screwing them in. I had to make various adjustments and use a separate pack of screws from another seller. I was tempted to just buy a new set of tuners and paint over the broken screw poles, but I made these work. In the end, they look nice, but weren't nearly worth all this hassle.

The tuners aren't exactly as shown in the photos. The buttons look like plastic fake ivory in the photos, but in person they look more like translucent fake pearl. I think they look very nice.I haven't installed the tuners yet but all the gears seem to work fine.Note that the photos show 3 RH tuning machines, 3 LH machines, six bushings, and six screws. Obviously that's not enough screws, as each machine needs two. But never fear, the set includes a dozen screws, plus a few extras.

Despite reading reviews which assuaged my concerns that they would fit perfectly with my electric guitar, these tuners arrived and I found they did not line up with the existing drilled holes from my old closed gear tuner head. Not a huge deal, I went ahead and drilled a couple 1/16" inch holes in the head in the only position where the tuning knob would barely clear the side of the head of the guitar, so obviously the tuner I put in doesn't stick out nearly as far as the OEM ones which came with the guitar and it looks a bit awkward. I suppose I could replace them all but that'd be a lot of drilling and work and it's just an aesthetic thing so I don't care that much considering the others all work for now. Also as someone else said, the screw heads strip easily as I was trying to get them tight in there; and the plate on the tuner doesn't fit perfectly flat against the back of the head of the guitar and was a tiny bit loose. Once you get the string on there and apply some tension it stops rattling and should be fine, so again, not a big deal.So ultimately this worked on my guitar as a replacement tuning head, but there were a couple of small annoying hurdles to clear to get it to work, hence the 3 stars. One more thing; some of the older reviews I believe said that all 6 of the heads were the same direction. Mine came 3L and 3R, so 3 for each side of your guitar head. I believe that's how it's advertised, as well, so you can be fairly sure that they've sorted it out and yours will come 3 and 3, as well.***UPDATE***I just added another star (went from 3 to 4) because somewhat ironically enough right after I wrote my review I went to restring a different guitar, a 10 year old Yamaha acoustic electric guitar specifically, and found that one of the tuners was loose in the mechanics and wasn't tightening/tuning. I figured I'd give another one of these tuning heads I bought a shot and while it doesn't fit perfectly in the hole left by the old head (it's a bit smaller but it doesn't affect the sound or tension) and I had to drill two small holes for the screws in the back of the head of the guitar like I did with the other guitar to mount the new tuning head, it works perfectly. So ultimately I give these tuners another star for versatility as I seems like if you're willing to put a bit of work in then you have a solid replacement tuner head for virtually any guitar when you need one (or six).

It say's "Ecomomy" meaning there cheap. I've got a better term, inexpensive ! And they are built well and look good, There is one set of 3 for the right and one set of 3 for the left just like they should be. If I thought they were a crap product I would not waste my time with a review. And they would have been sent back. Look plain and simple, if you have an acoustic guitar and the tuners are junk or just plain wore out, these will raise the value and make it easy to tune.Great Inexpensive Tuners at a time when bargains are in dire need.P.S. They look nice too!
