The springs aren't hardened so they bent on first use and were not useful after that.

These are awesome! We have a old Phelan Low boy and the ramp on one side is so heavy it take two men to lift it. I installed both of these on that one ramp and now my kid can lift the ramp up and down.

Had to make some modifications to the trailer to get them to fit. They are a little stronger than we need and our drop down gate is very heavy as we have added support bracing to it. The ramp goes to just about 2 inches from the ground. Have to step on it to get it to go all the way down. But they work well and the ramp is very easy to lift.

I built my ramps heavy. Around 200 pounds each. 66 inches by 16 inches 1/4 inch 3X3 angle with additional 3/8 inch weight plates. These springs let the ramps touch the ground lightly and I can lift the ramps with one finger. Perfect for my solution.
