I bought these Jetta Variant/Sportwagen rear springs for a 4dr sedan, expecting more apparent lift and more tolerance to full loads. Well, the lift is almost unnoticeable, which is a good thing for an otherwise stock vehicle. I expected a very noticeable rake but alas, that's not the case, which I consider a good thing. Ride is level.Well, I also expected them to compromise the original ride quality, maybe turning the car into a cartwheel or something. But no. The car rides EXCELLENT, with enhanced aplomb, it doesn't "dive" as before, ride comfort remains basically unchanged, if not better. The fit pretty much like the originals. Installation is hassle-free. It's a direct fit and a much needed upgrade if your daily routine includes rough roads (as Colombia does have) and heavy loads (as my business demands). Now I'm expecting to buy the uprated Auto VR6 Jetta front springs to round up the package, but those aren't shipped to my country, IDK why.Shipping was phenomenal. They arrived two days before the estimated delivery deadline.I'm very happy with my purchase. I cannot recommend it enough.

Great product! Beefier spring than OEM MK4 rear springs. I have VR springs up front in my 1.8t and these in the rear. A nice little lift on the car and a smooth/stiffer ride.

I bought these springs for my mk4 jetta tdi 1.9 for the rear they did lift it the fit perfectly and did lift it 2". It rode so buttery smooth, soaked up the bumps 😎. But when going through sharp dips they do allow the tires to rub the fend wells. But I was running 225 75 15 and the was the only issue. Stock up on fender liners. Yes I'd buy again.

These seem like good springs to replace some springs that were supposed to have been replaced with upgraded springs by my prior mechanic, who I am pretty sure instead of the upgraded springs to lift the car about a half inch so it would ride level with a bit of a load, overcharged me to put junk springs on and pocketed the difference. I am happy with them so far.

These springs fit and came quickly but longer than original and makes car high in rear which looks odd.

All the reviews are correct these are designed for the spring rate on the sport wagon version of the golf not the shorter and lighter golf hatchback. There is at least one additional loop. The originals are seven. These seem to be eight at least. They effectively raise the ride height of a 2001 Golf G.L.S. Now if you have changed out the front struts already with an aftermarket "speedy Strut" then the front ride height is also not O.E.M. This car is no longer my daily so it doesn't really bother me. It does ride much nicer. That's not saying much though as the O.E.M springs literately rusted to the point that the bottom coil snapped off on the drivers side, so yes, having springs the same length on booth sides improved the ride. They are cost effective as well. O.E.M springs are made in and solid in Germany so they are not cheap to get here. I found them for more then a hundred each on a specialist website, shipping not included. Maybe you could get them for 250 all in. That's a lot more then these. You could try loading the trunk up with a couple of fifty pound bags of sand I suppose. You can't effectively cur off a loop because of the design. The top and bottom loops are smaller and fit into the body and lower mount over peg like raised areas. Also that is not safe or recommended at any time by anyone ever! I don't even know why I mention it. Also most people don't have access to an oxyacetylene torch. Anyhow I had planed on looking into finding them at an auto wreckers. I did look on eBay and sadly no luck there. Same thing with rockauto. They almost always have more choices then anyone. Not this time though. BTW there is a color code painted on the O.E.M spring in case you were wondering "how do I know what spring do I actually need". This won't help you if they have already been replace of course. It's toward the top where it's less likely to rust. The front struts have these markings to. The different colored dots (also squares) represent different weight loads and spring rates that are a virtual enigma to the none VW mechanic. To make it even more ridiculous that code changes every model year.

Fits 2014-2015 VW Jetta, the listing does not mention Volkswagen, definitely stiffer then stock springs, worth the money.

Installed them on my 02 VW Jetta GLX Sports Wagon. Installed Bilstein 24-064095 Shock Absorbers but the rear seems to be too bouncy so added these springs to stiffen things back. I tend to load the car up with heavy items so wanted some extra support. These are not OEM parts and will raise your car up slightly more.https://www.amazon.com/Bilstein-24-064095-Shock-Absorber-Rear/dp/B009FU7I4M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483738279&sr=8-1&keywords=24-064095One thing to note, you might have to pay more attention to how the bottom springs are oriented compared to the top. These are a bit longer and slightly different design so your car will be slightly higher. Also if the springs are not oriented correctly they will spring back against the side and make an Boing type of sound. Luck for me I only had to re-do the driver side spring. Basically just turned it 90 degrees and the issue was solved. I had lined up the top position to the original coil springs which doesn't matter as much as how the bottom of the springs are aligned

After putting 225,000 miles on it, I figured my 2004 Jetta Wagon turbo-diesel was due for a suspension refresh. I had researched spring & shock/strut options through three VW and VW Turbo-Diesel internet forums. This Jetta is used more like a truck and may soon be tasked with pulling a small cargo trailer from time-to-time, so a heavier-duty spring was my goal. Heavy-Duty OEM springs are expensive, especially the holy grail of rear springs from the Euro version of the Jetta Wagon (Europeans evidently prefer a more sporting ride), which are not available through US OEM channels and must be imported from Germany. These Moog springs were mentioned frequently as an economical alternative, with nearly universal approval. Most recommended buying them through Rock Auto, but when you add in shipping, Amazon beat them by a significant amount. These Moogs did not disappoint. The wire gauge is substantially thicker than the OEM springs and add about an inch of ride height at the rear. I'm so pleased, I ordered Moogs (p/n 81134) for my new front struts, as well. I don't see how you can go wrong.
