Might as well buy a 2x4 and cut it to the length you need. Ive had other jacks like this and you were able to adjust it with a wrench to get it to proper height and position, this one you set your height and put it in position, no adjustments.

When I saw this item I immediately ordered it. Pole jacks are invaluable. They bring safety to an otherwise potentially hazardous job. I recently had to work on a carport that had rotting 4x4 mounts at point where they encased in the cement driveway pad.When those metal braces rust through and break, it leaves the structure in danger of catastrophe, especially of one of the vertical support beams gets kick out or falls away from underneath the horizonal support beams that they hold up. A devastating prospect to be sure.This pole jack came in very handy. It was used to support the entire structure as the vertical 4x4 support beams were removed and replaced. It had no problem carrying the load and was very sturdy. That brings a level of comfort and safety that is very much appreciated.The build of this jack is solid and it's made from quality materials using high grade metals for strength. It has several preset height adjustments that make it useful for various heights. Also, it has a precision adjustment capability that allows you to fine tune to the exact height needed.A really solid and well-built jack. Does the job for me.
