Just installed a Megasquirt ECU and experienced repetitive difficulty starting the engine. Would crank and crank and crank and it just would not "catch". This got very frustrating. Often had to use a battery box to jump start it since I kept draining the regular battery. Once it got running everything was fine though.So I did some research and at least two online sources suggested adding a noise filter to the ECU 12v power lead, since some starters generate tons of noise when cranking and this interferes with rpm signal detection. And in my car the ECU is located fairly close to the starter (within 12") so this line of thinking made some sense. So I bought this here inexpensive little noise filter; install was super easy - splice into power wire then put the ground wire to chassis. Turned the key and within a split second the motor started!! WOW!!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!!! Turned motor off, cranked it again, and again it immediately started. SO AWESOME! It's not just for audio systems!! Very happy with this purchase - who would have thought it was something so simple as this??!!!
