This will completely eradicate any ground loop (one cause of hum/noise on audio connections between two independently-powered devices), because it uses a pair of transformers with no electrical connection from input to output. Only the audio signal will pass through, blocking all DC current flow from one device to another. Of course, it won't do much if the source of your noise/interference is something else.I haven't noticed any deterioriation of the audio quality.

This set of x2 noise reducers is just what I needed as it serves two immediate purposes:– as a 3.5 mm female to female audio adapter– noise reducer for my speaker systemI still have a few wired headphones with male 3.5 mm audio plugs, and this noise filter allows me to convert them into Bluetooth headphones by connecting it to a Bluetooth receiver.Of course there is the added benefit of reduced static and hiss noise from earthing. The construction is quite solid and the compact size means it could also be used if/when I build my own bespoke amplifier. The kit also comes with a pair of short 3.5 mm male to male audio cables, which is a nice touch.

Works great. I'm using it with an RTL-SDR connected to an RPi. It cleared some buzzing I was experiencing right up.

These do attenuate the noise a bit. I have a good quality speaker connected to our TV via 3.5mm audio cable. The speaker uses a rechargeable battery. When the speaker is charging and the TV is running, there is quite a bit of static noise coming thru the speaker. So I inserted one of these Smof Ground Loop Noise Isolators into the line. It helped reduce the noise a little bit, maybe by 20-30%, but it did not eliminate the noise. I'm sure these work better in an environment with less interference from a charging cable.

These are essentially just two isolation transformers in an enclosure. It's a passive device for a specific function, and it performs that function well. It's not going to magically improve sound quality. In fact, it may hurt your bass response a bit since it's so small, but it's better than if you had a pesky ground loop causing problems like squeals, hisses, chirps, or other funky sounds.Ideally, you would eliminate the ground loop so this isn't needed, but if that's not possible or feasible this will take care of the issue. It's a good price for the tool that it is, and comes in handy when it's needed.

I ordered these ground loop noise isolators to solve a buzzing and humming noise problem. I have a home theater amplifier and Big Screen TV connected to my laptop computer which I use to stream movies. When I use the laptop on battery power everything works perfectly. The sound from the amplifier is clear and there is no noise. But, when I use the AC power supply/charger with the laptop there is a buzzing noise and hum in the speakers. When I unplug the power supply/charger the hum disappears. That is why I suspected a ground loop was the problem.Sure enough, when I simply installed one of these ground loop isolators between the laptop and the amplifier the hum and buzzing noise disappeaed. Its like magic! I’m glad I have a spare isolator because I know it is the magic fix for this kind of audio problem. The quality of these isolators and their cords is very good and I am very happy with them. If a ground loop is causing your noise problem, this is the magic permanent solution.

My computer's audio situation is a mess. Its back audio port (the "speakers" port) works like 53% of the time (but when it does, it sounds better/has more features than the front audio port), and its front audio port (the "headphone" port) is lacking, but much more reliable. Because I like to try the back port before moving to the front port, I have to plug/unplug/plug/etc the cable a bunch, and the faff that comes out of the speakers with every jostle is a deafening jumpscare.Hooking this loop up to the speaker's cable has 100% resolved this issue. The cable doesn't make a peep when handling it. However... I do notice that there is a (less jarring) hum that lasts the whole time my PC boots up. I don't know if this is a fault of the loop or a common occurrence. But it definitely goes away immediately after the computer finishes booting, and then things go on swimmingly from there. So, while that temporary hum is annoying, at least I can feel safe knowing the speakers won't explode my eardrums just from moving the cable around.

I use these between my KVMA and two Dell laptops. No matter what quality of audio cable I used, I had this humming and crackling static noise from the laptop when it was selected through the input port. I use these PCs for work and do not care about hi fidelity from them, so cannot tell you about sound range or volume reduction. I just know that once I ran these inline from the back of the KVMA switcher to the 3.5mm port on the laptop(s) there was finally blissful silence, no static every time I moved my wireless mouse or switched between apps or the stars aligned in the wrong orientation, or whatever grounding issue or who knows what, was making the distracting and annoying buzzing, humming, crackling static like noise. These worked for me, the sounds are gone, and it will most likely work for you.

The Smof Ground Loop Noise Isolator works perfectly for anyone dealing with frustrating hums or static in their audio setup. I have used these in my car audio system, at home between PC input and outputs, among other audio applications that require those pesky hums to disappear, and the improvement in sound quality was instant and impressive—no more annoying buzz ruining my music or even 3.5mm microphone inputs. The 3.5mm cable input is compatible with almost any stereo cable, making it perfect for various devices. The setup is incredibly simple: plug it into your AUX port, connect your audio source with the cable, and you're good to go—no batteries or charging required.I have even used these on my gaming headset with line splitters and cleared those PC hums on the stereo and mic inputs/outputs without affecting the audio quality. Keep in mind that these isolators only work with TRS inputs and are not TRRS, so you will need a splitter to separate the mic and audio signals into stereo. However, if you're looking for a cost-effective solution to eliminate audio interference and enjoy crystal-clear sound, the Smof Ground Loop Noise Isolator is a perfect solution.

I needed to solve an interesting problem I have with my gaming setup and an internet search led me to this product. Let me explain....I've got an older Xbox that I game on daily with a wired controller and wired headset. So, headset connects to controller, controller connects to Xbox. Here's the problem. I have a faux-suede sofa that I sit on, and in the winter when the air is dry it makes a ton of static whenever I move even an inch. It's crazy but it creates crackling/zapping sounds in my ears whenever I move, and sometimes it's actually painful. Turns out the static energy jumps through the air from my ear to the grounding points on the speakers in the headset! If you have a wireless controller or wireless headset there's no problem (far as I know). This gizmo eliminated the ear electrocutions, and I can move as much as I want. The problem is, the microphone doesn't work anymore. This isolator only supports stereo audio with the 3-ring jack, and the headset uses a 4-ring jack. If the isolator worked with microphones as well that would be awesome, but it doesn't.But this set comes with 2 isolators, and I'm clever, so I figured out a way to use both to make it work. I needed a couple specialty audio jack splitters, which allowed me to split the audio and mic signals, pass them through separate isolators, then combine them again at the connection to the head set. It's super kludgy but it's far cheaper than buying top-end wireless gear!

Das Rauschen wird definitiv reduziert. Aber ich hatte einen stärkeren Effekt erwartet, aber eventuell kommt das Rauschen aus meinen Lautsprecher auch aus einer anderen Quelle.
