LA Peppermint Camellia Camellia japonica 'la peppermint' LA Peppermint Camellia is a wonderful variety from the 1800's that has stood the test of time for good reasons. In late winter through early spring it produces an abundance of fragrant, eye-catching double flowers with white or soft pink petals randomly streaked in red. Occasionally flowers may be half red and white to solid red. The striking flowers are set against a perfect backdrop of glossy, deep green foliage. it is ideal for use as a hedge, background plant, or in groupings and is especially nice as a corner plant or espalier (trained to grow flat against a wall) in home foundation plantings. As this camellia grows lower branches can be removed to form an attractive small evergreen tree that serves well as a colorful focal point specimen in landscape borders and home foundation plantings. I was a little skeptical about ordering live plants on Amazon but this was a great buy. I ordered 11 different varieties from this same seller. All arrived well packaged and healthy looking. Each of them had a good size root ball and were moist. I will definitely be purchasing from this seller again. I can’t wait to add these to my garden!

I've ordered many plants online and on the average packaging leaves something to be desired. However, this nursery is exceptional. Care in packaging and the plant itself was excellent. The plant a starter was in great condition, healthy, and very strong. As a result of my satisfaction and I'm fussy, I've ordered three more starter plants for this same people.
