I really wanted this to be a 5 star review because once I got it to install it worked great and prints nice with abrasive filament. The problem is the manufacturing specs were obviously off a little because some of the nozzle was offset and a little too thick in places. Maybe I will check back later to see if it has improved but for know the extra work it takes to get it to fit properly makes it not really worth it.

I got this nozzle with high hopes but when I tried to get in on my printer, it would not fit. I struggled for at least and hour trying to get it to fit properly to no avail and in the end the latch broke off so I had to buy another hot end assembly. I’m giving this one star because the tolerances are so off I couldn’t even test it.

I have tried this with harder-to-print filaments, and It has been very reliable. It was easy to place in. I printed several carbon fiber filaments and had no issues.Overall, I would recommend it.

Installed this on my Bambu Lab A1 for printing some fiberglass filament. This nozzle printed smoothly and I had no issues getting quality prints. I've only done a handful of prints with fiberglass filament but so far it is holding up very well. I ordered the tungsten carbide version of this nozzle by the way. My understanding is that tungsten carbide is highly abrasion resistant and has better thermal properties than a ruby nozzle. I'm not material scientist but this nozzle has been holding up well for me printing a few fiberglass filament parts here and there. This should be the perfect nozzle for printing with carbon fiber filament as well. Overall, great nozzle. Fits my Bambu lab A1 perfectly and makes for great prints with abrasive filaments. 10/10

We’re all about improvements and the latest technology when it comes to 3D printers and accessories. This industry was built open source and although we support Bambu Lab, we also find it unpleasant that most of their products are proprietary. After initial use of this (0.4mm Ruby Durozzle) on an A1 Mini with Cool SuperTack Plate, we had some issues with adherence. We swapped it in the A1 using a Cryogrip PEI Plate and it’s been a champ ever since! We’re running with Slice Engineerings Boron Nitride Paste on the heating assembly as well which provides the best thermal conductivity within the element and our testing has shown to pair greatly with this nozzle. Some small noticeable differences is the machine work and coating as it sort of has a “cheaper” feel with the plating used and the machine marks. Otherwise drop in install, temp settings raised only 5c-10c with certain filaments and using Bambu studios latest firmware update. We can auto calibrate now and upon doing so we’ve noticed a higher K-Factor being generated by Bambu studios but we reduce it by (0.010) or so and it’s flawless!Highly recommended with faster shipping then Bambu Lab directly and the price is reasonable. Will definitely purchase again!

So, I have mixed feelings about this review and I believe the issue may come down to longevity. Let me explain myself. I have ordered several hardened nozzles for my A1 mini as you can't beat how easy it is to change the nozzle on it.Anyways, the other hardened nozzles I have gotten are on the cheap side but they still work great and I haven't had any issues. Pretty much the same situation with this Ruby nozzle, I mean, when i have tried it, it works great but so do the other cheaper ones. that is why I said it may come down to longevity. It is possible that this one will outlast every single one of the other ones I have purchased so I am kinda saving it for when I have an important project where I cannot afford to mess up but yeah, if you can't afford this one, there are other options that are about a 3rd of the price that work just as well, at least for small prints.

Using the Vickers scale as reference against the two Bambu offerings (higher = harder):Stainless Steel: Up to 800Hardened Steel: Up to 1200Tungsten Carbide: 2600This Tungsten nozzle handles coarse filaments with a casual "hold my beer" confidence..For the ability to transfer heatSteel has a thermal conductivity of 15 watts per kelvin per meter (W/m-K)Tungsten carbide has a thermal conductivity of 110 W/m-KSo much science - what this all means is that this nozzle isn't going to wear out any time soon and heats up much better than the Bambu nozzles. As a test I took a PLA that I had already run a max volumetric flow test on with a hardened steel nozzle and ran the test again with this nozzle and got a 18.5% increase. The downside is that the nozzle fits snug, I mean SNUG. You need to insert the nozzle at more of an angle than normal so that once the fins are touching the hotend, you need to keep pressing upwards (and maybe jiggle it some too) as you press the nozzle forward to get it in place. That's with a cool hotend, since heat makes things expand I wouldn't even try to get it on until the hotend was completely cool.
