I have enjoyed using this spool. So far, it’s lasted longer than when I refill myself. No problem with it self feeding. Has made weed whacking a lot easier and quicker.The spools are made of the same hard plastic as the one that came with the unit. A little wasteful but so much easier.

This product is so easy to use you finish one pop it out and pop one back in it’s that simple you will need to have them on hand because they don’t last long especially if you have rocks or metal that you have to go around which is to be expected but the ease of use makes it easier and less of a hassle all in all very satisfied with the product the price is very good they fit right an awesome product 👍

For years I've taken pride in winding trimmer line myself on my B&D cordless trimmer head. It was a cumbersome task with keeping the line taut. Additionally, not all trimmer lines are the same even if they all state they are .065 so on occasion my weed eater was not working optimally. I figure maybe it was just part of weed eating life. However, this summer as I was sitting in my garage in sweltering heat wondering why was winding trimmer line yet again because it was running out very quickly, I decided to get a cool glass of water and search Amazon for some possible answers. I came across this and what I thought was a moment of weakness in buying this, it turned out to be a blessing in both time, money and functionality. This came quickly and as advertised. Usually I go through one or two spools a month, but with these, they seem to last a lot longer and I'm wondering if it's because these are just right for my cordless. No more fatigued hands and that random piece of poor fitting trimmer line getting cut off too early catching me in the shin. I like my weed eater again and so does my lawn.

When my wife and I got married and I saw she had a cheap, battery powered string trimmer her sister had given to her for Christmas, I just rolled my eyes, realizing she'd yet had just one more thing I'd need to replace with a legitimate, name branded, gas powered one to really get the job done effectively... until I tried it. To my surprise, her $70 trimmer worked like a champ and I've been using it every week for the past 7 years! When the string ran out, I went to "Wally World" and all they carried was the Black and Decker brand, so I bought it. A few years later when that ran out, I went looking for more on Amazon and discovered these no-name spools for less than half the price. Seriously, we're taking about nylon string wound on a spool. How much difference could there possibly be? NONE, apparently!! These generic spools are IDENTICAL in design and materials to the B&D ones and they even give you a few extra orange caps which install every bit as well as the originals. Swap the string out in about 45 seconds and you're back in business (though it might take you half the afternoon to find where you last left the refills). I'm definitely a guy who appreciates quality and frown on cheap knock-offs, but trust me, this string doesn't disappoint, costs a small fraction of the B&D-branded stuff and does every bit as good a job!
