I got this to use in winterizing our boat. We keep it at a storage unit so winterizing it may well be done with no electricity, etc. I tried this out a bit and it really seemed to work well - easy to set up and use, pretty easy cleanup (it is oil, after all), small and easily portable and to store when not in use. It came with a fitting that works for my 65hp Mercury outboard and had no issues using it right out of the package.

Changing the transmission/lower unit oil on your outboard is not a glamorous job, but having the right tools can make it easier and more pleasant. This oil pump includes a simple set of fittings that made our oil top-up easy to get done. The value is there on this set, but make sure you check the fittings for metal burrs and shavings before hooking it up and pumping them straight into your lower unit! (see pic)

This kit is very similar to ones I have to purchase locally on the past. Very useful for filling differential great oil and similar tasks.Plastic construction is made for the CC occasional user like myself.Extra threaded fittings look to be marine application specific.Made in China.

It's an oil pump and it worked like it should. I purchased this just for use on our boat. The included fittings are nice to fit a variety of applications. One fitting did fit the lower unit threads on my, Mercury Mariner, Force 125HP lower unit and it filled just as easy from a 1 quart bottle.

Yikes... it broke after about 10 pumps.

If you've used one of these manual pumps before, then you'll know what to expect. They all seem to be about the same. Luckily, that means they all work, at least for the first few jobs. This one works well enough to pump differential fluid, but the pump can be a little "sticky" sometimes and get stuck in the down position. It's fine, almost all of them do that. The metal fittings are a nice touch, though I haven't actually had a reason to use them yet. Just put the hose in the fill-hole, and start pumping. There isn't really a big need for a fitting on the end of it. Still, I can see situations where threading it in would be beneficial, so it's great they include the fittings here.Overall, the pump works great and does it's job. no complaints, and the price is reasonable. 5 stars from me.
