Rotate the end of the pen counterclockwise and remove the entire rotating core from the pen.
Put the wax stick into the pen.
Put the core in and rotate the end clockwise until the wax comes out of the tip.
Now you can start creating happily.
Low Temperature Storage
Our diamond painting wax needs to be stored in a low temperature environment to prevent melting and softening. If conditions allow, please store it in the refrigerator.

I really wish that I had read the reviews. This pen & wax do not work well. As other reviewers have mentioned, the wax is too soft & gets everywhere. The head of the pen is not the correct size to place the diamonds.

The wax is too soft and gooey. It oozes out around the drills and just makes a mess. Spent too much time cleaning it off. Using as little as possible it still oozes out of tip of stylus oozing all around the drills. So messy!Update: the white wax performs beautifully. It is the pink wax that is just messy and useless. I wish the would give option to just purchase white wax.

All the accessories I have ordered have been great. Makes doing the diamond painting easier and quicker. Only thing that I have to say, I wish the painting pens were a bit finer.

I love these dudes, easy to install, and easy to push up. I warm mine with my hand in the actual pen before pushing it up, so it isn't so tough

I ordered this refill set in error as I intended to order the pens, which I then ordered. The wax is definitely too soft for easy use though the idea of this tool is great. With the wax so soft it leaves a residue on the drills and wiping it off is a bit of a nightmare. I'm not sure if refrigerating the wax would help the issues with the wax.

This stuff is so soft in melts in cold weather !!It’s so oily it makes the diamond UN stick and makes the paper to greasy to place diamonds in the areaDO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT!!!
