I'm not at all skittish about buying Chinese tools. I assume up front they are going to need modification. I'm a welder and metalworker so I can often come up with parts that improve or make the machines workable. I am retired so I am rich in time but poor in cash.Out of the box, I had to snip off the Austrailian 10-20P plug and replace it with one that I could use, in my case an L6-30. The electrical specs of this thing are a little loony. The plug is stamped 10A 250V yet the machine itself touts 4000W at 240V which is 16A. Then the cord running to said plug says 3x 1.0mm. 1.0 square mm is about equivalent to 17 AWG (if there was a 17 AWG). However it did turn on and run fine the first time with no load. Now in the manual, the "rated power" is stated as 2800W. Not confusing at all. Do as you see fit, but I run this off my 30A welder circuit.Theoretically you could use this wet or dry (although read what it says in the manual below). There's a door for a friction fit vacuum port at the top of the shroud. I'd never use this. Concrete dust will destroy most vacuums. There's a plastic 1/8 barb just above the base plate for supplying water. The manual is pretty funny. Bad english, a copy of a copy of a copy, such that it would take an archeologist to decipher. That immediately went into my tinder box. BTW, it mentions how you should NOT "expose the machine to rain or wet conditions".They give you a little toy 12V submersible pump and some cheap vinyl tubing for which supposedly leads to the little plastic 1/8 barb tee which squirts water onto the blades to control dust. I didn't even try to use this. It just didn't seem like such a setup could deliver enough water. Instead modified it with my own parts to deliver more, but I won't bore with the details. I gave the pump to my neighbor who is growing "tomatoes" indoors. The grinding wheels rotate in a direction such that they spit the swarf out the front of the machine. While this makes the thing more difficult to control, jamming the handle back at you, it's better than being continually pelted with concrete mud.The unit comes with five blades, and I have them set up with two washers between each. You could actually run probably 8 blades with one washer between each if you wanted. The blades are and odd size: 121 x 20 x 15 which is about 4.75". You could easily run 5.0" diameter blades if you wanted. The arbor is 20mm.Extra motor brushes are included. When using a water-cooled setup, just to be safe, I ran this thing off a 240V 30A GFCI breaker, wore a complete rain suit, arm-length rubber gloves, a respirator, and safety glasses, and tried to avoid getting wet. This is not advice, this is just what I did.

Super easy to use. 220v tools are no joke, this thing takes whatever you want to do with it and just doesn't quit. The water pump should be considered a requirement for use, the dust without it made my basement uninhabitable for a day until it all settled. The pump didn't work out of the box though, I had to cut off the included transformer (wrong plug) and wire it to my bench power supply (12v). The pump still didn't come on so I suspected the in-line switch next. Ripped that off and energized the pump directly and still nothing. In desperation I whacked the pump off of the concrete and it came on! Really high pressure little guy, the flood of water transported to the business end of the tool took dust from 100% to maybe 2%. Anyway this thing is a BAMF. cement, cast iron, stones, whatever, it really does not care. It's truly an angle grinder with a masonry blade x5. It actually runs a little quieter than my angle grinder on account of the lower RPM and MUCH higher torque motor. This is a two-handed tool for adults only kids, I only let my 4 year old squeeze the trigger while I held it. I ran it from my dedicated 220v/20A welder outlet but you 110v home gamers with a modicum of electrical knowledge can rig up a plug for it using both sides of a split phase circuit. Make sure the circuits are rated for 20A though, this thing really does pull 4kw.

Works great. Easy to use. Simplier solution than hiring someone.

I haven't had a problem with this tool. Lots of power and I have cut some 40ft x 1.5in x 1in grooves in my concrete for drainage, very easily. I am not a commercial operator, but it sure did the job for me. For the price you can't go wrong!
