The Fresh & Save vacuum containers are designed to work with the vacuum pump to keep food fresh up to five times longer than non-vacuum storage. They are available in borosilicate glass or BPA-free plastic. Both versions are stackable and freezer, microwave (without vacuum seal), and dishwasher safe. Glass containers are ovenproof (without lid) and double as beautiful serving pieces at the table. I love the quality of these storage containers and tossed my 35 year old Tupperware. I bought some for my mom for Xmas. I love how they can stack in the fridge, so a smaller footprint, and they are the perfect sizes! I was surprised how long you can store items in them...2 weeks and food was still fresh. The container held the seal. I can't do without these!

We actually already had this set and loved them so much that this purchase was actually as a gift for someone else. They keep your food fresh for much longer, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to clean. Buy them!

I have a different generation of these and I thought these would be the same but they don't seal properly. I would suggest the newer generation with the blue tab on top.

I have purchased containers from both Zwilling and Vakuen for testing. These Zwilling containers are glass and very durable. The weight is considerable and sometimes difficult to grip. I have had few issues with sealing, but the thickness of the lids limits the volume of the container and 1/2" down from the rim must be perfectly clean to seal. I like Zwillings variety of containers in both glass and plastic , their App to keep track of foods stored, and their customer service response. I am disappointed that they don't offer replacement gaskets and vacuum valves (a weak point in the system). Customer service responded promptly that no parts are available, but that they would offer replacement lids or containers if I sent photos. The Vakuen containers are only in plastic, but are durable , and I like their gasket and valve system better. If Vakuen offers replacement parts, that may make my decision. For now, I will continue to evaluate both systems and keep both. I have adapted my Foodsaver to provide vacuum for both, alleviating the added expense of multiple vacuum pumps to fit different systems.

Os potes são ótimos, os vidros são grossos e resistentes. Os potes cabem um dentro do outro e assim ocupam menos espaço. A tampa tem a parte do meio "solta", que você pode apertar para gerar um vácuo mínimo nos potes - bem menor que o que uma bomba a vácuo produz. Os demais funcionamentos, são identicos a uma tampa "padrão": tem um botão de silicone no meio para desfazer o vácuo. Recomendo a todos, mas não sei se compraria pelo preço cheio - peguei em uma promoção pela metade do valor.

I love vacuum sealing because it really works. I often use the vacuum sealed bags and the Food Saver machine. That machine works great for sealing bags. However, ALL of the Food Saver containers are plastic. And, unfortunately, the plastic containers leak air. Most lose vacuum in a day or so. These containers are glass and THEY DON'T LEAK. I am not sure that the Zwilling vacuum pump is as good as a Food Saver, because the Zwilling is battery operated rather than 120VAC outlet power. But, the glass containers are much, much better and hold a vacuum.
