I love this bedding for my Columbian Rainbow Boa. This whole bag filled his 80 gal tank perfectly with about 2-2/5 inches in depth all over. Holds moisture well and I have had no problems with mites or mold.

She's a 8.5 ft boa constrictor and she is very fussy. ZooMed is the only substrate that she will 'explore' in. She seems to enjoy the texture. My husband says that it hold moisture without mould or ba teria growth. That is the most important factor.I recommend this highly

Great product. It’s my snake’s favorite flooring. It holds moisture well making the tanks lower maintenance than if I used a different product.

This is a good substrate, I use it for my iguana and blue tongued skink. It is not as dusty as some other bark substrates I've used and is relatively easy to clean of food and other messes. There are at times some large pieces I have to remove for fear they might injure one of them, but all in all it's relatively congruent in size. It also holds moisture well, allowing for a good humidity level, yet doesn't get moldy with constant misting.

This works perfectly for my ball python. It holds humidity better than aspen, and it lasts a long time before it needs completely changed out. I spot clean, then do a full substrate switch every shed or couple of months. It gets dry over time, so every couple weeks I'll pour a cup or two of water in there and mix it around. It's also way cheaper than any substrate at the pet store.I don't feed her in her viv anymore, though, because once a little mulch stick got stuck in her mouth and I had to get it out with tweezers. Aspen might be a better choice if you feed in the viv/tank/whatever. However, she kind of pushes her food around and into the ground when she eats. If your pet just gulps their food down it probably won't be an issue.I have a 55 gallon long aquarium, and usually get about 2 substrate switches out of one bag.The only downside is it's very difficult to see any waste when using this substrate. Everything kind of blends in, so I usually have to use the old smell test when cleaning.
