These filters hold up very well to pressure treating and I've had other brands attract mold and contamination but these consistently give me the results I'm looking for.

Okay yes, you can use micropore tape. BUT, these are much more convenient, in my humble opinion.1. My tape never tears even.2. Using these are much faster than tearing four pieces of tape for each jar lid.3. Placing one on the inside of a lid and one on the outside of the lid provides a double layer of protection. Can you do this with micropore tape? Yes, but it never tears evenly and is a pain in the butt.4. If you spawn to bulk in a container, instead of drilling several large oxygen exchange holes, you can drill several mini holes and cover them, inside and out, with these stickers. Doable, but again, a pain in the ass. Will set your grow back a minimum 2 weeks.Best to use these with an injectable port. Shoot liquid culture into sterile medium, let it grow, and when fully cultured, transfer to as many growth chambers as possible. 5. ALWAYS do your own testing and research. What works for few may not work for the many.6. Recommend sites. Philly Golden Teacher, Rookie mycologist, 90 second mycology, and soooo many others if you'll do the research.

No problem sticking to metal lid or plastic bags. Held up nicely after pressure cooking at 15psi for 2 hrs twice already without issues.

They work great! Solid adhesive seal, micropore exchange is on point. I'm going to keep a healthy stock of these.

I was nervous about using these over syringe filters for mycology, but I’m actually thrilled with these filters. Not only have they withstood pressure cooking but not one thing I’ve used them on has gotten any contamination. They come nicely packaged and in clean condition, they do have a very strong glue smell but it goes away after a few days , not complaining about it , smell is a small price to pay for strong air tight seal these stickers have . Excellent product 👍

No good for mycology as they get wet when exposed to moisture over 60% humidity which allows for contamination. They're like a sponge. Also they shed their fiber material when touched. Basic fall apart when rubbed gently.
