This is easy to install. I like that the pads cover entire roof of vehicle. This makes loading and unloading for shorter users.

I bought these pads for transporting my boats. I used to use foam blocks but i like these much better. I find them more convenient to use. The soft material is gentle on both the roof of my car and also my equipment. I didn’t use the straps that come with the pads because I had my own already that I’m familiar with. The pads work well for both canoes and kayaks that I know of and they also seem like they would work with structured carriers, paddle boards, etc. I’m using these on a vehicle without a crossbar. The bottom of the pad is non-slip to help them stay in place, which is nice. I used have to put rubber padding under my carrier to prevent slipping and it could be a bit noisy. The pads feel dense and well made to hold up to all kinds of weather. They are easy to install and damage free. They’re handy for someone like me who doesn’t have a built in rack.

The best thing about these pads is that they can be used with or without a crossbar, which makes them nicely convenient for different types of vehicles. The non-slip material ensures that my kayak stays secure during transport, giving me peace of mind on the road.I've used these rack pads for my kayak and canoe, and they work like a charm every time. The padding is thick enough to protect my gear from any scratches or damage while on the roof of my car. We installed the racks on to the car and that part was super easy. Unfortunately I pressed on one of the clips and it broke. So I will have to get different carabiner clips for it.

This is the second time I have used this for my kayak and the quick loop straps fell apart while going down the highway and I almost lost my kayak down the highway.

I bought this for my dad for his birthday, as he needed a kayak holder for his car. He called me and told me that it took a little figuring out at first, but he used it for the first time to bring his kayak . He said it works great!!!! This is a perfect buy, and was a perfect fit for for his Ford escape.

Foam pads are weak and snapped under the weight of a standard paddle kayak. Straps came dry rotted, buckles come loose and kayak comes loose on the top of car even when strapped down tight with additional ratchet straps (standard straps did not do the trick the first time, nearly lost my kayak on the road). Also the pouches on top of the foam pads that you can thread the straps through came apart the second time we used it. I figured it was user error the first time so I had a friend who works on kayaks and is really capable assist me the next time and same issues plus the pouch breakage. Absolute garbage, subpar product. Waste of money and honestly a risk. Won’t initiate a return because I already used so that wouldn’t be right, but I really regret spending money on this product at all.

this was suppose to transport my Kayaks - well after a hour of trying to get it across the top of my car and fasten inside the car - not worth the hassle or money spent. Bought in August and went to use it on my trip last week and well lesson learned!
