Zojirushi Micom water boiler and warmer has a micro computerized temperature control and a one-touch electric dispensing system. It has four keep warm temperature settings: 160, 175, 195, 208 degrees F. This unit displays actual water temperature at all times on its easy-to-read LCD display and control panel. It is also has an energy saving timer function (6 - 10 hours) and easy-to-hear sound indicator to alert completion of boiling process or low water level. Quick temp mode heats the water directly to the selected keep warm temperature without reaching a boil. The water will reach the selected keep warm temperature quicker than regular mode. Other benefits include reduced steam and reduced energy use. This mode should be used when DE chlorination is not necessary, such as when using bottled or purified water. To activate, press the reboil/quick temp button; the boil light blinks. The dechlorinate mode reduces chlorine and musty odors from tap water by extending the boiling time. The CD-NAC also offers a Café drip dispensing mode for slower dispensing. Water level lines on the interior makes filling with the right amount of water easy. Zojirushi's exclusive spout and lid design delivers a smooth and streamlined pour while minimizing drip. The easy-to-clean flat panel protects the internal components from liquid, particles, and dust. The lid is removable for easy cleaning and filling. All surfaces that come into contact with food or beverage are BPA-Free. Zojirushi's Commitment to Safe Design:Automatic shut-off prevents boil dry; automatic dispense-lock prevents accidental dispensing; in-spout and in-lid protection prevents leakage when tilted or tipped over, or dripping after dispensing.

Have had one of these for years in the household. Then after I moved out on my own finally got one of my own for my hot tea. In the mornings just fill the tea pot with tea and water from the pot - so quick and easy to get my morning cup of tea. We also use it for making coffee in the coffee press. Can also be used for ramen. In the winter I turn the temperature of the water up so it is hotter than in the summer time (Arizona is hot in the summer). I still use it for hot drinks year round.

zojirushi makes built to last, high quality products and this is definitely one of them. every part of operation is easy and it barely even requires continued interaction once you set it up. the only thing that id want in a revision would be an integrated power switch, but this minor problem can be fixed with a power strip.

This is a time saving luxury worth its price. You can set the temperature of the water t at which you want it maintained. If you like your hot beverage at 195 degrees, hit the unlock button (childproof safety) then hit dispenser and it hits your cup, without waiting or wondering what temperature it is at. Lovely. Super high quality.

This little guy is amazing. My family uses an electric kettle constantly and a friend of mine suggested checking out one of these guys. Zojirushi is a brand that never lets me down, especially when it comes to rice cookers, so I went with this specific brand. Having hot water at the ready and not having to wait to boil is a game changer.I would highly recommend getting one of these if you always find yourself refilling and boiling water in your electric kettle. Yes, it is fairly pricy in comparison, but the convenience added is worth it in my opinion.

I have a Zojirushi rice cooker from 2010 that still works flawless to this day.So far this has been the same quality as I have expected. The sleep timer song slaps, adorable tune.A little pricey but if this is like other products it will last much longer than other brands.No complaints and a shockingly nice addition to the kitchen.

I bought this for my workplace so that my coworkers and I have a ready source of hot water for our tea, americano, instant noodles or general hot water fix.I’ve kept it running 24/7 for the last two months, refilling it with our filtered water and keeping the hold temperature at 195 degrees F (~90 degrees C) and have had absolutely had no issue with it including no hard water deposits or rust.I like that it’s simple to operate and has several useful settings including temperature presets for different teas and a timer function to auto turn off.It quickly boils water when I refill it so people don’t need to wait long for their hot water fix.Overall it’s an another great quality product from Zojirushi.My only complaints are:- Doesn’t have a quick release plug. Another model I have for my home has a quick release plug which not only makes it easy to move around (to refill/clean it or use it somewhere else), but also adds some safety in case someone tugs on the power cord preventing any accidental spillage of hot water.- Temperature labels are only in Fahrenheit… wish they can with another set of labels for use with the way more intuitive Celsius.

I’ve read the commentary of lots of people comparing this to a kettle. It is not a kettle, it is a device which provides instant boiling water. It takes a while to boil when refilled (~45min) but that’s because it only pulls 800Wh. While holding the water’s temperature it pulls around 35Wh. Consequently it is very quiet while boiling and does not risk tripping your breaker if you’re doing other things. Its dispenser is very high quality & does not drip. You can set a timer to delay boiling and it will be DONE for the time you set. Additionally there is no auto-off (aside of dry boil) because, again, this is a device which provides instant boiling water and not a kettle. It also sings! Highly highly recommend this device.
