It does tell the humidity, but it keeps falling off the terrarium glass. I am considering just replacing it with another item, but I do not know which type yet...

I LOVE these gauges as a good "eyeball." I use 3 of them in each of my reptile enclosures (1 on back wall, 1 on right wall, & 1 on left wall). They are ONLY a rough guide, but BOTH humidity & temp are in one gauge, and they have the option of using SUCTION cups--NOT glue/stickers. So when I clean enclosures, I can move my gauges...or even if I simply want to rearrange an enclosure. I recommend owning an infrared, digital temp gun for accurate measures of basking spots and the like. I regularly test these guys against my digital temp gun, and they are within a few degrees. Good enough for allowing me to get an idea of temps/humidity at a glance. Great for when you have multiple animals.

This temp / %RH indicator is identical to the one provided in the Zilla Bearded Dragon Deluxe Starter Kit. I now have one at each end of the habitat for better temp trending.

I callibrated the Zilla Humidity gauge with the Bovida One Step callibration kit 75% pak and compared it with several other humidity gauges,...including the analog hygrometer by Western Humidors, the mini digital thermometer hygrometer temperature gauge, and the AcuRite Indoor humidity moniter. The Zilla was about 25% too low and didn't even register on the scale in about 20% humidity. The most accurate gauge was the Mini Digital Thermometer hygrometer. My intent was to measure the humidity level in my acoustic guitar cases with a good hydrometer. The Zilla gauge failed miserably. It may be ok for reptile environments,...but I would certainly not recommend it for guitars or anything else.Instead,..I would recommend the Mini Digital Thermometer Hygrometer by CT Power Tools.

The temperature and humidity are not accurate. Unfortunately that is its sole purpose and it is of cheap construction. Do not waste your money.

The product works VERY good. I have been using it for over a month now, and it works flawlessly. The attachment has two options. The product is easy to attach and use. It is highly recommended. The price is just right.

Amazon Prime had this for cheaper than I could get anywhere else, even in stores, which was awesome. Some people have questioned the accuracy of this particular product. I'm sure as with any product, the analog system will vary a little from each to the next. I've checked this with 2 other digital gauges and the accuracy on temperature was +/- 1* Fahrenheit, and the humidity was +/- 2%. These are acceptable variances IMO.This is perfect for a quick readout on your vivarium. Place them at about head-height of your animal to get an accurate readout of the air temperature and humidity for where they're normally breathing. Please ensure the health of your animals by making sure their temperature and humidity is as it should be.The dial indicator includes an easy to understand humidity readout marking ranging from "Desert" (dry-arid) to "Tropical". This makes it easy to give you a generally-safe range of humidity for your particular species. You just use the included sticky-tape or suction-cups and you're ready to go!
